A proud moment for Team Assassin at Ramsgate Week

It is always fantastic to get out on the water and even better when we can share the experience with friends, family, clients and industry colleagues.

Successfully racing a sailing yacht is an incredibly multifaceted challenge. It requires a broad combination of technical knowledge, experience, coordination, communication and physical ability, all centred around a disciplined team in which collaboration lies at the very heart.

It is also a remarkably inclusive sport. This year, the Team Assassin crew ranged in age from our helm, Peter Jackson, at 75, to Zac Viner and Gray Jackson at just 14. There are not many other team sports which enable people from such different generations to compete alongside one another at such a high level.

Ramsgate Week also gives us the opportunity to introduce others to the sport. This year, we were delighted to welcome aboard guests from Waites Construction, Hollamby Estates, Alexander Environmental Systems, KAP Motor Group and Practical Car & Van Rental.

Alongside the racing, our annual corporate hospitality event at the Royal Temple Yacht Club provided another excellent opportunity to bring clients, consultants and friends together, enjoy the atmosphere of the regatta and strengthen relationships away from the usual working environment.

On the water, it was an exceptional week. Team Assassin secured multiple trophies before winning the overall full-week regatta title by a single point. We were also honoured to become the first ever winners of the Ivor Thomas Memorial Cup for IRC Class Overall.

A brilliant week of competition, teamwork and hospitality. We are already looking forward to Ramsgate Week 2027!
