THE LENGTH

TJDA was appointed to complete a full planning application for a medium density, new residential development in the semi-rural location of The Length, St Nicholas at Wade. The 34 dwelling scheme comprises of a wide range of house type designs, each optimised for its specific setting within the site, strategically positioned to respond to the surrounding context and neighbouring listed buildings.

The masterplan further responds to the character of the surrounding village, with the creation of a new green focal point and the establishment of three key vistas that maintain the feeling of openness and permeability. The dwellings, through the choice of materials and traditional detailing reference the local vernacular, creating a dynamic and vibrant street scene that integrates well into the village setting.
