- Striking Transformation
This project is a great example of transformation, inspired by a clear and thoughtful client vision. Right from the start, the brief focused on finding creative ways to reuse and upcycle reclaimed building materials and scaffold boards. These choices were made not just for sustainability, but also to give the bungalow its own unique character. The result is a warm, welcoming home, where every detail has been carefully planned. Each element reflects the client’s values and a shared passion for smart, innovative design, making every space feel original and inviting.

- 10 high-quality four-bed family homes set within a sensitively landscaped environment
Working alongside Guildcrest Homes and Rebus Planning, this recently submitted planning application is set to deliver 10 high-quality four-bed family homes, each with generous gardens, on-plot parking, and integral garages — all set within a sensitively landscaped environment. The proposed scheme by Turner Jackson Day Associates (TJDA) builds on previous submissions, refining the layout to improve efficiency, while enhancing neighbour amenity, improving access, and strengthening the site’s landscape and ecological value. Inspired by the local vernacular, this design-led scheme uses traditional materials and detailing to create a cohesive and distinctive development that complements the surrounding village context.

- TJDA are delighted to have received the 2025 Royal Tunbridge Wells Civic Society Award for Verve, Spire Court on Windmill Street.
This recognition highlights the dedication and collaboration of the design team, our clients Wedgewood Homes , and the Tunbridge Wells BC planning team in creating a development that respects the local heritage setting and important views of St Peter’s Church, whilst still unlocking an efficient and contemporary use of a highly constrained site. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project a success.
- In the heart of the Broadstairs Conservation Area
The plot came with unique challenges—tightly constrained on both sides and fronting two roads at different levels. The brief called for a dual-fronted design that responds sensitively to the urban context. Working closely with our self-build clients across all work stages, we’ve unlocked the full development potential of the site while carefully balancing client brief against heritage setting. Now approaching watertight stage, the scheme is really taking shape. Thanks to our clients’ exceptional attention to detail, we’re excited to see the transformation once the scaffolding comes down and the render is revealed.
- Planning for the future
TJDA are pleased to be involved in a redevelopment scheme in High Road, Chadwell Heath that is transforming vacant commercial premises and a disused industrial workshop into residential units. In addition, further redevelopment of the site is planned, with proposals to be submitted for planning approval before the end of 2025. This project represents a significant opportunity to revitalise the area and contribute positively to the community.
